"A Guide to Cultural Identifiers"

Thank you to my fellow IABCLA board member Farida Habeeb for creating
​“A Guide to Cultural Identifiers.” I find it very helpful, and I wanted to share.

​Farida also included the following message when she recently posted the graphic to social media: 

“Communicators and PR professionals, it's more important than ever that we use the correct terms when describing different cultural groups in America and abroad. I designed the following infographic as a guide. Obviously, it only scratches the surface! As a general rule, it is best to use a specific label when speaking about a specific group. Always defer to an individual's preferred terms, and don't feel bad if you're corrected. :) It just means that they respect you. :) ” 

The chapter is now working on diversity and inclusion programming. I will, of course, share details as soon as it becomes available.
